Now, while I could smile and say "I told you so," of course my goal is not to be a medium who can point to the validity of predictions but to help consumers like myself wake up and use some brain power in forming a CONSUMER health policy that each of us can follow.
My take, we have to give up the stupid perversion of the game "THE WEAKEST LINK" when it comes to health services. Consumers who have been spending time pointing the finger at our sickest citizens or those who are not vegan runners living in an area with excellent air quality and justifying why they should pay more or be ineligible for medical services have done this to the rest of us...and believe it or not, the sick and ailing are a MINORITY being oppressed by the MAJORITY of "healthy today" citizens who want to save a buck OFF THE BACKS of the sick. That's right.
Well now, you go it alone, free choice types are living the dream. You are neither as healthy nor as capitalistic as you suppose because YOU are seeking LEGISLATION to protect YOU from health insurers. And when you go to get health insurance after being sick, and yes, you will get sick, you might even...out of desperation, and of course under protest, actually start to SUE those contract-breaking health insurers who stall, decline and worm their way out of spending any of their profit on you.
There is a reason that people work together and there is a reason that companies work together and there is a reason that physicians work together...it's called leverage. Enough of the phony go it alone idea, you are not going it alone, you're hoping to beat the system and when you can't because the system is working against you too, the first thing you do is run to GOVERNMENT for help.
