End of government entitlements and we'll see a solution to the health care crisis

Government employees get better benefits than you at a cheaper cost, oh yes, and you help pay for them. While government employees will whine about whether that's true, all you have to do is look up benefits for local, state, and federal government employees. While we're all distracted with stupidity, these benefits keep being paid for. As recently as August 2008, at http://govexec.com/story_page.cfm?articleid=40735&sid=2, Alyssa Rosenberg tried to argue against studies that concluded that there is a significant "federal-private compensation gap"--in favor of the perks and salaries awarded to government employees.

As the election draws to a close, our next President should not be able to stall on acting on this issue because it requires more "studying" or anything else UNLESS the provision of these great benefits packages for government employees are suspended and beginning in the year 2009 they (government employees) must be "empowered" like the rest of us searching for decent insurance coverage at an affordable price. Then we'll see our government officials act.
