Perhaps confirming what many of us have known for awhile listening to the President at various times stump for Obamacare, appear for Obamacare and lie about Obamacare in any variety of forums where he could have a photo op, we heard yesterday, in response to criticism that he’s not visiting the border in Texas, “This is not theater, this is a problem. I’m not interested in photo ops,” “Obama on Border Crisis, ‘This isn’t Theater,’” http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/immigration-border-crisis/obama-border-crisis-isnt-theater-n152301.
Well, that certainly helps us better understand the campaigning and less truthful versus the truthful and more informative approach he and others might have taken on behalf of American citizens concerning Obamacare, if declining photo ops indicates something is NOT theater, then I guess all the past and continued photo ops about Obamacare are theater. Pretty disgraceful in my opinion. After all, our country's healthcare system is certainly as worthy as other policies that apparently warrant a more serious and respectful approach, isn't it?
We must demand a more sober and honest discussion of Obamacare, including the impact of the recent Hobby Lobby decision, rather than be drawn into “theater," that devalues the real-world impact of Obamacare policies in exchange for the dramatic and frequently incorrect info we get from media seekers, votes seekers and ratings seekers on both sides of the issue.
That's why I call out Senator Patty Murray for her media stunt in my post today, "Obamacare, Hobby Lobby and Senator Patty Murray," http://conoutofconsumer.blogspot.com/2014/07/obamacare-hobby-lobby-and-senator-patty.html.
