My opinion of yesterday's debate appears on a page because it is not directly healthcare related. (See http://conoutofconsumer.blogspot.com/p/ahmadinejad-is-teacher-too-opinion.html)
President Obama effectively positioned himself as the candidate who will move forward by going backwards to his own policies and continues to frame Mitt Romney as the candidate who will move backwards to the policies of former times, (though both candidates have made endless references to history and what worked in bygone days).
In case you were worried that the President's hearing isn't working well based on last night's debate when his response to foreign policy questions seemed to be "more education", not to worry. I believe that this repetitive scripted response was merely part of preparing Americans for the President's next bully-pulpit desire to push through his civil service Jobs Bill by funding states to hire more teachers.
However, I also believe that for those worried about the possibility of compromised hearing in their Medicare eligible relatives who provide equally non-responsive answers to questions, that there is sufficient cause to obtain Medicare covered diagnostic audiologist services to find out whether there is hearing loss.
And, what if there is? Well, since Affordable Care is not about anything except making sure of a technicality in terms of number of citizens insured or not insured, the quality of coverage for those audiologist services will focus on the cheap diagnostic tests and will pretty much leave your relative bearing the cost of obtaining hearing aids or other treatment for loss of hearing under Medicare.(You can see coverage explained by researching "Medicare FAQ'S-Academy of Dispensing Audiologists).
