PFFS Plans Sound Good? think again

PFFS plans are the next bad consumer choice that consumers are flocking to. Well, it's a free country, why shouldn't we choose the insurer we want? Read some of the reasons described at http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/71759.php. If you still think that your PFFS plan is the greatest, really, it means nothing because these plans have fewer requirements than all the other bad insurance plans available. Requirements meaning government restrictions on how far they can go in co-pay cost, coverage requirements, participant levels.

Marketed as a means of individuals using any doctor of their choice, especially to Medicare enrollees, understand that physicians are not going to give up their right to determine their fees and that your doctor is likely not to take on patient enrollees in this program. Further, the requirement that plans with network providers work to cultivate such a network, is not a requirement for these plans. The requirement of reasonable co-pays is also not required for these plans. If your free market economy ego still supports this exploitation of those who are sick, old--in other words, those who need health insurance still tempts you to try to sell your peers on this ridiculous manipulation of consumers, let your conscience be your guide, you too will someday need to use your health insurance.
