US Special Senate Committee on Aging has a website for citizens to view including what they're doing. While many will give a big yawn, others, who know that they really really won't get to talk to President about health services reform will applaud the Sunshine bills being introduced by Senator Charles E. Grassley, a Republican from Iowa and Sentator Herb Kohl, a Democrat from Wisconsin.
The introduction of S. 2029 titled PHYSICIAN PAYMENTS SUNSHINE ACT OF 2007 is a bill worth supporting. The bill provides that information about incentives given to physicians by pharmaceutical companies, ranging from vacations to free stuff, be available to the public.
There is no reason not to support this bill so write your senator and let him know, we want S. 2029.
