Staples and the President’s Nervy Self-Righteousness

Of all the things the President is telling himself, helping American workers should not be one of them (outside his limited field of vision that stops at civil service.) For many of us, the President has treated the citizens of this country as the poor cousins to policies that show a pretty large contempt for American workers.

While we’re still living this experience of a President who in my opinion is hostile to the non civil service middle class, it was a little bit strange to hear the President criticizing Staples which might be among other companies cutting part time worker hours so that they drop below the 30-hours as full-time requirements for health insurance under Obamacare [Affordable Care Act 1513 (d)(4)].

Most of us can remember 2013 when Americans discovered that our wages would drop two percent because of this Administration’s decision to let the payroll tax holiday “expire.” Employees receiving paychecks got to see their wages fall from 2013 because of this Administration’s policies.

It was also 2013 when the amount of allowable medical expenses to be exceeded before we could claim a deduction became 10 percent of adjusted gross income rather than 7.5 percent of prior years. Another move by this Administration that costs American workers.

Seems the President should be the last one lecturing Staples that he “…[suspects] that they could well afford to treat their workers favorably.”
