Now You See it, Now You Don't: Hillary Clinton Changes Her Health Policy Campaign

The NEW YORK TIMES Editorial Board is lying, but their September 23, 2016 opinion piece is also caught up in Hillary Clinton's lies. On September 23, 2016, THE NEW YORK TIMES untruthfully boasts that

The TIMES LIE: "Deductibles and other out-of-pocket costs have risen for workers covered by employer-based plans as businesses have shifted more costs onto employees. Mrs. Clinton wants to provide a tax credit of up to $5,000 to help people pay out-of-pocket costs, including for prescription drugs," http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/24/opinion/health-care-deserves-more-attention-on-the-campaign-trail.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=opinion-c-col-left-region®ion=opinion-c-col-left-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-left-region.

The TIMES refers to the appalling increase in employee expenses for health insurance and health care since Obamacare. OK, no rocket science needed to know that. But then the TIMES asserts that Clinton wants a credit up to $5,000 to "help" people. Nope. What Hillary Clinton promised was more entitlement payouts to EXCHANGE users, making that credit available to EXCHANGE users ONLY, the paltry 9.4 to 11.1 million using the government's best spin of how many (or how sadly few) Americans are purchasing plans on Obamacare exchanges.

Here's what Clinton originally promised:

"Make premiums more affordable and lessen out-of-pocket expenses for consumers purchasing health insurance on the Obamacare exchanges," where we're told she wants to dump more money into Obamacare exchange plans by creating a TAX CREDIT that permits those already receiving Obamacare entitlements (premium assistance and cost sharing) to also get a government created tax credit for "up to $5,000 per family to offset a portion of excessive out-of-pocket and premium costs…[and] ensure that all families purchasing on the exchange will not spend more than 8.5 percent of their income for premiums," https://www.hillaryclinton.com/issues/health-care/.

Today if you go to the website, it's gone…Poof.

The New York Times even has a link to its reference, but if you click on the word "plans" in the NEW YORK TIMES lie piece you'll find no mention of the $5,000 credit at all, zero mention of the original text that the TIMES relied on to generate its own lie about what was originally promised, https://www.hillaryclinton.com/briefing/factsheets/2016/07/09/hillary-clintons-commitment-universal-quality-affordable-health-care-for-everyone-in-america/.

You can still find a copy of the original Clinton increase-entitlements-payouts -for-exchange users in order to keep bribing them to participate, $5,000 credit for exchange users only, NEW YORK TIMES, NOT for the rest of us, https://www.hillaryclinton.com/briefing/factchecks/2016/03/09/clinton-will-build-on-the-affordable-care-act-while-sanders-would-start-over-and-reopen-a-contentious-debate-2/, " Her plan will provide enhanced relief for people on the exchanges, and provide a tax credit of up to $5,000 per family to offset a portion of excessive out-of-pocket and premium costs above 5% of their income. She will enhance the premium tax credits now available through the exchanges…"

But likely that will be gone soon too.
